We Help Youth Soar!

FEFY’s mission is to give young people the opportunity to learn about and experience the world of flight.

Adventure, Discovery, and Learning Take Flight

The programs funded by FEFY are run by Sugarbush Soaring at the beautiful Warren-Sugarbush Airport (0B7) in Warren, Vermont.

We don’t believe that every young person needs to become a pilot. But we do believe that every young person deserves the chance to experience the kind of hands-on, real-world learning that builds confidence, curiosity, and character—something that’s increasingly rare in today’s digital world.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Aviators and Innovators

Through the process of learning to fly, youth don’t just take control of an aircraft—they take control of their own growth. Flying challenges them to think critically, apply STEM skills in real time, and take responsibility for their decisions. It teaches focus, independence, and resilience in a way that few other experiences can.

The Sky is Just the Beginning

As they master the skills needed to soar, our students discover a deeper sense of purpose and possibility—skills and mindsets that will carry them far beyond the cockpit, into every part of their lives.

Join us in helping the next generation reach new heights. Whether you choose to donate, volunteer, or simply share our story, your support makes it possible for young people to dream bigger, learn deeper, and truly take flight.

“I realized that you are not teaching me about flying alone, you are teaching me about life through flying.”
