Jen Stamp, President
Jen holds Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificates for both single-engine airplanes and gliders. After starting power plane flying in the late 1990s, she moved to Vermont in 2004, beginning her work as an instructor and tow pilot for Sugarbush Soaring. Her passion for youth aviation led her and her husband, Tom Anderson, to take over Sugarbush Soaring’s youth programs in 2015. Working with young people feeds her soul and Jen has been a dedicated member of the FEFY board since 2017. Outside of flying, she works professionally as an Aquatic Ecologist for Tetra Tech and holds a B.A. in Biology from Dartmouth College and an M.S. in Environmental Sciences from Ohio University. She enjoys flying her 1941 Taylorcraft, biking, hiking, and shooting hoops with the campers.

She holds an MBA from YaleUniversity in public and private management and serves on several youth and community boards. Eve's commitment to FEFY stems from a deep personal conviction: after her son, Alex, joined the line crew over fifteen years ago, she witnessed the deep and lasting impact the experience had on his development. Eve is dedicated to "paying it forward" by ensuring Flight Experience for Youth thrives for more young people interested in aviation. Eve and her husband Gene split their time between their home in Fayston and Umbria, Italy.

Danny Burns, Secretary
For the past 3 years, Danny has been a full-time Glider Flight Instructor (CFI) at the Warren Sugarbush Airport. His journey is a testament to the programs FEFY supports: he spent five summers in the Line Crew program, worked as Assistant Airport Manager, and ultimately attained his private and commercial glider certificates through the generous support of the community. Danny, who joined the FEFY board in 2019 after several years as a Youth Advisor, is currently a senior pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Olin College of Engineering. Outside of the airfield and classroom, he holds a Private Pilot power certificate and enjoys welding, milling lumber, and ski patrolling.
-
Emilio Arce
Emilio is a software engineer who graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Computer Science in 1997. As a recreational pilot with a private certificate and instrument rating, his journey with FEFY began when he dropped off his son, Sebastian, at a Youth Soaring Camp. "When I returned a week later to pick him up, I could sense that something really special had taken place," he says. Intrigued by the positive transformation, his family began making regular trips to the airfield. The more he was exposed to the programs, the youth, and the community, the stronger his desire grew to become involved, leading him to accept an offer to join the FEFY board in 2022. Emilio is dedicated to sharing his passion for aviation and enjoys witnessing firsthand the power of the supportive FEFY community to guide, inspire, and motivate young people.

Ellen Setser

She became deeply involved, coordinating fundraising events and Youth Soaring Camps. Ellen now proudly serves on the FEFY board, committed to an organization that makes a real impact on young people's lives and helps them achieve their aviation dreams. In the off-season, Ellen and her husband Dave, a Sugarbush Soaring tow pilot, live in central New Hampshire and fly a Van’s RV-7 they built together.
