Winter Ground School is a comprehensive off-season course run by Sugarbush Soaring instructors on Zoom, giving students the opportunity to deepen their aviation knowledge and stay sharp year-round. Participants explore a wide range of essential topics—from FAA written test preparation and airspace navigation to glider systems, aerodynamics, weather, and regulations. The curriculum combines practical instruction with real-world applications, helping students strengthen both their technical understanding and flight readiness - just in time for Spring!

Flight Experience for Youth pays for the cost of participation for SSA youth members and line crew, allowing them to stay engaged and keep their passion for flight alive throughout the winter.
